Puzzling Holiday Fun!

Greetings, Henry fans!

Have you heard about our delightful Henry-themed jigsaw puzzles?

Last year, I spotted some wonderful jigsaw puzzles created from an artistic interpretation of my small town.

Intrigued, I examined the box closely to identify the artist and noticed these delightful gifts were made locally.

Fast forward a few weeks, and I was in their Portland warehouse (just a few miles from my house) picking up my first order of Henry the Field Mouse themed jigsaw puzzles. A perfect gift for the active fingers of little adventurers who enjoy reading about Henry’s countryside escapades.

So many people love puzzles!

Chatting with some local toy shop owners, I learned there is a much wider audience for “large piece puzzles” beyond the under-ten crowd. Little did I know that folks suffering from dementia and Alzheimer’s welcome puzzles with easy-grip large pieces that don’t have childish or cartoony images. It seems the benefits of practicing hand-eye coordination span the generations.

And now I’ve learned that people of all ages living with ADHD challenges may enjoy the quick visual wins of completing a puzzle with oversized pieces, avoiding the overwhelm of a standard 500-1000 piece puzzle.

I will be collecting a new batch of puzzles in a couple of weeks, so be sure to let me know if someone on your gift list would enjoy snapping together a Henry the Field Mouse puzzle!

And don't forget these adorable stocking stuffers! Yes, Mum has been busy knitting up a nest full of Henry, Polly, Gertie, Ossie, Sam, Jim, and Jake look-alikes!

Luckily, my bag wasn't pulled aside for further inspection after my visit for Mum's birthday in August. Good to know 70 mice scurrying around in your carry-on bag doesn't set off any TSA alarms :)
