When my grandchildren moved to the other side of the world, I wondered how I could stay in touch, and encourage their connection to my countryside home.
After watching my old and slightly overweight Jack Russell terrier barking like crazy at some unknown intruder under my garden shed, it gave me an idea …
…I decided to write stories about the creatures living in my back garden as a way to spark my grandchildren’s interest in life in the English countryside.
